On Wednesday May 23, Libby
and Larry were joined by Laura, who returned after some time off due
to injury, and the trio ran/walked along the Stoney Creek trail, through to
Stoney Creek Elementary, up across the Gaglardi overpass, up the Forest Grove
hill, said hello to Adele and Tian who were out walking, passed by
them and went on to Underhill, and returned along the trail behind Forest Grove
school, down Forest Grove, along Beaverbrook Crescent and back to Cameron
Centre. Time out, 1 hour 10 minutes, distance 7.5ish km. We
were glad that it did not rain.
Saturday run:
Laura and Bobtoc squeezed a 1.36 time into a run
which Rene and Larry ran in 1.15. The four Cruisers met at and ran from the
Centre Saturday am into the Burnaby Lake trail system, ran a short circuit
therein, no shock intended. The return distance was approximately 9
km. Congratulations to Laura for her second run only since her
layoff due to shin splints. The four enjoyed the best day of the year for
running, bright with some clouds, a most comfortable temperature.
