Week of February 18th

Alex, Edie and her two dogs April and Bella, Rod and Bobtoc walked Monday on a cold dry evening from the Centre using the backward Forest Grove Drive route, to Underhill, Eastlake, the Beaverbrooks returning to the Centre.  Time and distance,  1:25,  7 km.

On Wednesday Alex, Edie, Larry, Rod and Bobtoc met for the evening run/walk.  Edie and Larry walked to the corner of Underhill and Broadway and return, time about 35 minutes.  Alex, Rod and Bobtoc ran the Forest Grove Drive route frontwards using Eastlake, Underhill through to Forest Grove Drive then east over the Gaglardi pedestrian overpass to the Beaverbrooks on the return to the Centre, distance 7 km, time 59 minutes.  Both walkers and runners encountered rain at the end of their run'walk.   Jennel on Wednesday  ran 1 hour steady pace around the inside track at PMRC. Five runners and three walkers met at and ran from the Centre Saturday on a rainless relatively mild morning.  RA Edie, Laura, Laurie, Rene and Bobtoc ran from the Centre to North Road at Ebert Ave, continued east to Mundy Park, although Rene bowed out at Blue Mountain Road with a groin injury.  The remainder ran using Ebert, Foster to Gatensbury, north to Regan, to Hillcrest, south to Winslow, east through to the Coquitlam Rec Centre on Poirier, to Blue Mountain, back to Foster to Robinson, south to Accaca and Appian Way, west to Whiting St through a right of way to North Road and the Centre.  Time and distance, 1:44, 12km.  Larry, Rachel and Rod also walked from the Cenre to North Road at Ebert Ave, continued east to Gatensbury then returned via Cottonwood to North Road and the Centre.  Time and distance, 1:20, 6.75 km.
